| Here we are
then, another chapter in the RustyFrance theme of things. This year we
went off, as the title suggests, to Le Mans for the 1st week (to watch
the 24 hour race of course) then onto Montsereau for the 2nd week.
This year we had Kev and Sue [Bluebays], Malc and Jenny [Jammydevil], [Buggsybay {or Posh and Becks as some refer to them}] (who could unfortunately only join us for the 2nd week) and of course ourselves on the trip. I'm going to retain the same scheme as last years and let the pictures do most of the talking. |

This is the memorial at Ouistreham to all the men (and women) that lost their lives during the Normandy landings. |

2 pictures of the war cemetery and memorial at Douvres La Deliverance, it has particular significance for me as this is where some 60+ % of my fathers unit are buried, he and his unit were amongst the first "waves" of men to land on D Day. |

I was, and always will be, grateful to Kev, Sue, Malc & Jen for bearing with me and giving time from their holiday so that I could honour my fathers colleagues on the 60th anniversary. |
